I have a question. For Prime Videos, what is the quality of the HD titles - bought or rented? I have always been told the highest for their HD was 720p, which I could have believe a few years ago when Vudu had HD (720) and HDX (1080), but then Vudu made all HD titles HDX and done away with 720p. Is Amazon's 1080p now? Not counting UHD titles.

I think there is certainly a lot of overlap between netflix and amazon video but there is the occasional unique goodie on amazon that isn't on netflix. To me it is just an added benefit of having prime for the shipping. I probably wouldn't get prime just for the movie selection.... YET.

I enjoy it's fairly large selection of Spaghetti Westerns, Late 80s/early 90s martial arts movies such as those starring Gary Daniels and Don Wilson, exploitation movies of all kinds and Slasher movies. It's great for that sort of stuff. Netflix (here in the UK at least) has a very poor selection of those sorts of movies. Straight-to-video movies.

I agree, Netflix is good if you're into modern stuff and of course Marvel for now, but for older and more obscure classics forget it. Prime Video has the best selection, even though alot of them are in SD VHS quality some are from new HD restorations if you look deep enough.

Can anyone figure out what the criteria is for redeemed movies to be able to be played on Amazon? Cuz like you would think that my whole MA Library would be able to be played via FireTV (without having to go into the app, I like shortcuts) but they’re not. Like I just redeemed Iron Man 1&2 Toy Story 1-3 and only IM 1 and Toy Story 3 show as purchased on Amazon.

Hi,
Does anyone know if the "paid" versions on Prime Video are different/better quality than the Free With Prime? I see some titles pop up on my recommendations that are free, but there is also a paid version w/o the Prime logo. In other words, does Amazon stream different prints of the same movie? |

I don't know when it happened, but EVERY amazon link under the release tab for EVERY movie is linked to incorrect movies. WTF is going on? I assume it happened when UV converted to Digital. It apparently corrupted the Amazon link. Anyone have info on this? How can they be corrected to go to the correct page?
