Happy to see a sticky thread for Network and very glad to see them in the Blu-ray game. That said, they'll have to go a way before they're up there with the likes of Criterion or Arrow; with the exception, that is, of their TV releases, which are splendid.

Neither of whom would even consider releasing a British silent film from 1927 with an Indian-influenced pop vocal soundtrack without at least including an alternative, traditional (most would say 'appropriate') score option as well. I'm very pleased with their Odd Man Out disc however, and they've got some quality titles in the pipeline as well.

Just had a response from Network so hopefully they will set up a blu-ray.com account and input to this thread (in the same way Eureka do for theirs)

"We think it's a great idea and something we are currently looking at and working out the best way to tackle it given how busy we are with various projects at the moment!"

all the upcoming "The British Film" releases (8 of them) are now up for preorder on amazon. I am going to hold out to see if Network honour the prices they are advertising on their site

£14.40 direct, £14.28 from amazon. But this is a blu-ray forum, so don't think we should really be discussing prices of dvd releases here

??? I was referring to the Tales Of Schoo: David Leland set...it's a blu ray release as well according to the OP...

Good releases ; but still waiting for The Avengers TV SERIES. Why so long... to see Emma Peel in glorious HD?? Also what about Blithe Spirit as B zone release?

Come on Network, give us a hint that this is at least in the offing somewhere down the line ... a wink ... or some indication that plans to get the Avengers on blu isn't stuck in some quagmire somewhere.
