Fireking,

The Haunted Mansion has never been released in Holland on blu-ray.
This is the first time it is released.

Ice age Duo Pack is already out

Finding Nemo will be out next year for USA due to the Sleeping Beauty release September 2008. Dutch release list still states Finding Nemo to be released this September as Sleeping Beauty isn't considered to be as much of a hype compared to the USA. Also, Sleeping Beauty will be released in October, so no worries here

DFW releases are region free nowadays, so there's a 98% chance of all DFW releases being region free, including "The Never Ending Story"

I'm still waiting for some info on the Aviator release for this week. Would love to know about the encode and audio track...along with the extras.

If you're talking to me, I know what the specs are for the Aviator. I want to know if it's a blu-ray optimized encode and if the extras will work in R1.

Noof, I am sorry, what is DFW release? Once I know this, I guess I will know why The Neverending Story will be region free?

DFW is short for Dutch Film Works which is a distributor in Holland and they are releasing The Neverending Story on blu-ray this week.

The Aviator features a VC-1 encode with DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack in English.

Quint-is DFW always region-free?

I sometimes use this site to see what's region free, but I don't see any DFW-I guess they are using the studio's name, not the distributor name? Sorry, very familiar with US process, but still learning about some international-thanks in advance for your help.

As far as I know DFW discs are always regionfree.

As far as I know, there was one exception. Don't know the title though.

Hopefully they don't make the same misstake as they did with Michael Clayton. The DTS HD MA only had the core at 1509kbps.

DigitalfreakNYC: I meant full specs. So, also the extra features (PAL/NTSC/1080), Aspect ratio (the DVD was 1.78:1).

Is there a list of DFW releases? All of the lists I've seen always list the studio (Warner, Sony), and not the distributor, so I have no idea which ones are distributed by DFW. Thanks for your help!

Usually, DFW releases Lionsgate and/or Weinstein movies

I've tried visiting Dutch Film Works site to see if they have list of Blu releases-but I think the region coding, depends on what the studios themselves do (Warner,Sony), not DFW? I also own HD DVD, and I wish they'd do away with region coding (I understand why they feel they need to do it, but it's so annoying!
