£2.50 - apparently it was originally marked up as more but it kept on being returned by people who didn't look at the region coding:

Wow, lucky find on the Criterion. It's so rare to find anything by them in a UK charity shop, let alone a recent BD release.
Who the hell goes to the bother of importing Watership Down, only to give it away a matter of months later? Perhaps the original purchaser didn't understand regional coding, either, in which case more fool them. |

had a great afternoon down in sunny devon
![]() picked up both fantastic four films on blu ray-£1.50 each and the criterion dvd release of house-for 50p-woman behind the counter said it was cheap because it was foreign and no one watches subtitled films. it looks nice next to my masters of cinema release ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My local charity shop has a deal on at the moment for any "DVD" you buy you get another one free, obviously i had to check if this included Blu-rays and it totally did, managed to pick up Senna (One of my all time favourite documentaries) and Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas for only £3!!! I was a happy consumer that day! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Okay, not a charity shop, but I hit Silloth car boot sale in Cumbria this morning. Not much in the way of Blu-rays, but did pick up a brand new shrinkwrapped copy of Kung Fu Panda for £1. However, that wasn't my find of the day. That belongs to the 9-disc Only Fools and Horses: Series 1-7 boxset for £1. Over the moon with that one.

I go to a large nearby boot sale most Sunday mornings (just to keep my pops company) and this morning a woman beat me, by seconds, to a dozen or so fairly decent BDs for two quid a pop. Stuff like The House of the Devil.
I think she was a dealer as she only checked to see if there were discs inside the cases, no looking for scratches or anything. Greedy *****! ![]() |

It still upsets me that a guy filled his trolley full of box sets of the Star Wars Saga BDs and other treasures when they were £2.50 in Tesco's a few years back, security asked him what he was doing and he said he was "on his way to Cash Convertors." |

![]() I think I got a couple of seasons (1 and 2) of Game of Thrones in that sale at Tesco for less than a tenner for both. It was an amazing sale! |

I've yet to go into a charity shop and find blu-rays
![]() As per usual with the BBFC, there are 4 seconds of cuts to horse falls in The Long Riders - but I hardly notice the edit anyway, so no problems there. Good extras list as well: Outlaw Brothers: The Making of The Long Riders documentary (60.50, HD) The Northfield Minnesota Raid: Anatomy of a Scene featurette (15.29, HD) Slow Motion: Walter Hill on Sam Peckinpah interview (6.17, HD) |
