Shameless completely botched the audio on this and it's such a shame because their release is actually taken from a pretty nice scan (definitely looks better than both the Arrow and Grindhouse blu-rays). The issue, however, is that the audio is out of phase. I remember emailing them about it when the disc first came out but received absolutely no response. Followed up and still nothing.

Why is the original 2.0 track so bad on this one?
Wanna have this trilogy complete, and with Arrow edition OOP, i think the shameless edition is my only option. But i only read negative reactions about this release.

So this got a re-release this week as a "standard edition".
Apart from the packaging does anyone know what else is different with this edition compared with the old one, will it have corrected audio?
The poor audio is what put me off buying it first time around.

Very curious to know if they silently fixed the audio (but if I had to take a guess I'd say no they probably didn't lol).

i asked them on twitter and they said it was the same disc as before

Like I said, I emailed them twice about the phasing issues with the audio shortly after the first disc came out.

They never even responded.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, would I still experience the audio issues on the Shameless disc if I only have a set-up with a soundbar rather than full surround sound?

I had the issue, and I don’t have any external sound equipment!

Got rid of the disc in the end.

I got the Spanish version which appears to be the same transfer as the OOP French version which is a fraction better than the Arrow

Hmm... doesn't seem to have english mono thou?

EDIT: As there's no perfect release, I went with the Spanish one.
