Lord knows, I was planning on getting the Doctor Who Series 7 boxset, but it keeps going in and out of Prime exclusivity without much of any logic regarding the time it spends as a exclusive. Price seems to stay the same though, so I guess you should be fine on that front at least.

Having been a Prime member for around 6 years I've never experienced this, but my membership is up for renewal in 3 days and I'm thinking about cancelling it. Is that going to cause me headaches going forward... I've never browsed Amazon without being logged in hah

Do a free 30 day trial and cancel it after. Iíve done this about three times in the last couple of years for the US Amazon. I even forgot to cancel it once and had it refunded as I cannot watch .com prime videos just said didnít realise and they refunded.
Still get come back please emails offering another free trial.

Probably the biggest benefit of Prime, if you don't care about Prime Video, is not having to worry about delivery costs per item under £20. There's a list on UK delivery rates here (& international here). For example one day delivery is £5.99 per delivery. That alone, which is easy to get used to, could be worth the membership.

Never even occurred to me I could join UK Prime from the US...I mean, what would be the benefit if I can't stream from the UK or get free shipping from the UK. It's very odd.

I think there are certain restrictions now regarding signing up for Prime for 30 days, buying 1 item only, then cancelling.

It all felt very sketchy. Flip-flopping from we charge on dispatch / we charge if the item is popular. They hadn't charged / they had charged.

I just thought screw this, and cancelled. I anticipate having to chase a refund next.

Happened to me too. Pre ordered weird Science and was charged the full amount of £20.17 when it doesnít even get released until 22nd of july. They told me it was a pre authorisation and the payment would drop back in my account in a few days. Hope this doesnít happen in the future or it will put me off pre ordering.

Yeah, they said this to me as well. Then they billed me.

I'd be interested to know if it does get billed straight away. Something screwy is going on.
