What a pathetic whine! They make actual pornography and think that Amazon has no choice but to screen it.

They do have that choice and in my view they’ve exercised it correctly.
But pornography is made to arouse, whereas the sexual content in Peccadillo releases tends to upsetting rather than titillating? I mean, good luck getting a hard-on watching Sauvage. (Hyper) sexuality is such an integral part of modern gay identity (for better or worse), it’s hard to imagine a sexless, defanged film about gay life happening without a massive paradigm shift.

The LGBT community has a unique relationship with censorship. A lot of people will automatically self censor and choose not to buy/watch a film purely because of its gay subject matter. I see it on this website all the time. Animal cruelty? Fine. Homosexuality? Clutches pearls.

Homosexuality in popular culture is a very recent development and we’re in the process of reconstructing our own heavily censored history from fragments.

But Amazon doesn't bar gay content on Prime - what its barring in this case is unsimulated sexual content, and that's entirely consistent with their refusal to carry unsimulated straight sexual content in films like the director's cut of Nymphomaniac or the hardcore cuts of Caligula. For example, they carry the censored 18 certificate version of Score with gay sex scenes , but not the hardcore cut.

It isn’t actual pornography, and if platforms could stop stigmatising sex that would be fantastic. Peccadillo aren’t Helix Studios.

Amazon should allow unsimulated sex in any cases IMO

And a lot of online sexuality is under attack right now whether it’s the new Pornhub rules or the way OnlyFans is being treated

If you think that's pornography then you must be quite sheltered LOL.

Plenty of films with "hardcore" content on Prime, especially on the Mubi, Arrow and BFI channels. Stranger by the Lake, Aniara, Prostitute...

BBFC have been increasingly lenient in allowing such content in films that aren't purely made for sexual titillation, even to the extent where they've passed it in films that could be considered to be from the exploitation genre.

Doesn't sound like this title is in any way pornographic, so seems an odd decision.

They also licensed their extras too. I just want more of Bressan Jr’s films restored.

Nope, got a dispatch email on the 29th but then had forgotten all about it until I just saw your post.

It got posted Second Class and I know there are delays due to illness and things so I'll probably give it another week or so before flagging.

Well they had 9 Songs on Prime in UK a few years back and that has a number of scenes of heterosexual hardcore sex, although the male actor does wear a condom in the penetration scenes but not the fellalio.

Although no longer on Prime you can still buy a digital copy on Amazon Video and view via the Prime app.

Yeah, I’m giving postage about a month right now before becoming concerned. It’s only some stuff turns up within a day or two of purchase (admittedly, some longer) even right now.

twice now i have placed an order with second class delivery and both times the order has failed to turn up. they resent both packages first class which turned up in a couple of days later. not sure whether it's coincidental or not but it does seem very strange.

FWIW my order came in today. Sauvage still had a slipcover surprisingly.

I wonder what happened to the planned Blu Ray release of And Then We Danced?

I couldn't wait any further so ordered the US edition which is region locked. Will be a real shame if this doesn't receive an English friendly Region B friendly release.

Just cancelled my Zavvi preorder for Boys On Film 21 Blu-ray and grabbed it from the Pecca store instead. £9.60 including postage is a steal.
