That is something many of us want I think.

And I would like a customisable library - be able to group a franchise in a playlist or something. I don’t think that would be possible on an AppleTV though.

Yes!! Just like the Lists feature on Vudu. Sadly the Lists do not work on the Vudu app on the Apple TV. So I have to use the Vudu app on LG TV instead.

Is that like a playlist?

The fact they have it on a Vudu app for LG and not on their tvOS app might be because playlist can’t be done on tvOS for some reason.

Has VUDU explained this lack of functionality on the ATV? It's annoying as hell. It also apparently isn't there for Android TV either.

Technically, you can create movie playlists with your iTunes movie/tv library, but you have to download each movie/show and access it via home sharing. It makes no sense they can't implement the functionality with movies since they do it with music.

I do get very annoyed when Apple overlooked stuff that needs improving and when they alter stuff that was just fine the way it was.

The libraries are a mess on both the iTunes app and the TV+ app on AppleTV, Family Share nonsense by requiring the account holder to be charged for everyone else’s purchases and because we can’t decide what we don’t want to share and parental controls are inadequate.

For anyone interested, I fired up the VUDU app on the ATV yesterday and I can confirm lists are indeed there now.

I don't have an Android TV device, so unable to confirm if it's there as well.

Thanks for the heads up now if we can get VUDU to raise the list qty from 200 to unlimited we should be good.

I wish they would include a better way to fast-forward. I was near the end of King Kong (2005) and I accidentally pressed something so it started from the beginning. The movie is 3 hours long so it takes forever and the fast-forwarding is really unpleasant to look at. I'm using the app on Sony XG95 TV.

Apple extending the free trial of TV+ is very decent of them.

I started on the 1st of January last year so that means an extra 7 months.

Much more pleasant than a kick in the privates.

Yeah all the Apple TV apps are inferior to the Apple TV4k box. I just wish it was a a little cheaper, $229 in Canada and it has never dropped in price. In your situation I just ask Siri to fast forward 2 hrs and 45 mins or whatever and it goes there instantly. Plus the apps have no access to extras .

You could group franchises together by downloading your purchases to your PC, changing the "sort" metadata as required (eg DC 1, DC 2 etc), and browsing/streaming from your PC rather than the cloud.

The only REASON i would upgrade my apple tv 4k is : ADDING spatial audio.

Really hope apple will integrate spacial audio in the new tv box...

Absolutely. I was blown away by it using the iPhone, but it only made me what an Apple TV that supports it.

Try tvOS 14.5b1 PB. I noticed all instances where it use to use 24Hz have been replaced with 30Hz.

I’m bummed the Homepods seem to never go on sale anymore. Kicking myself for not grabbing at pair at $200 each. I’m not sure I’d use them with my Apple TV but definitely for Apple Music.
