Does anyone know why the Indiana Jones films are not in 4k on iTunes despite having 4K physical releases?

There’s even a whole row of ads on the iTunes Store advertising them in 4K.

Mine have not updated on the apple tv app on my phone but they seem to have updated on the app on my apple 4k tv(I don't even own a 4k tv yet just future proofing).

All the previous 4k movies I have bought or redeemed 4k codes for show they are available in 4k on the app on my iphone but Indy movies only say HD.

Don't have an Apple TV, but they are showing up 4K on the app on both my iPhone(iOS 14.6) and iPad(iPadOS 14.4.2), and in iTunes (Version 12.11.3.17
) which is what the original post asked about.
$9.99 each to purchase or the 4 movie collection for $34.99.

The TV app takes it's own sweet time updating, unless you buy something, which forces an update, or sign out of your account, and back in, which also forces an update.

You can check the iTunes Store which should verify you own 4K for these movies if you have any doubt.

Bundles always say HD but the movies would be 4K if you bought it.

Yep it’a kind of annoying. I usually just try and buy something to get it to update. Signing out and back in always takes like a year for my movies to repopulate in my library.

You must have had reaaaalllly old versions. Happened to me once with the hobbit. All my films went 4k. One didnt. I bought it again. 2 months later...guess what? Original version upgraded.

They are. All four of them. I bought them in HD some years ago on a sale (All four for $20), and when they went 4k physical, Apple upgraded 'em to 4k for me.

That auto-upgrade is one of the reasons iTunes is my preferred streaming service. On Vudu you have to re-purchase the title to get the UHD
