Wow, very pleasantly surprised at the film choices!

I already have three on BD, but some of the others are among my absolute favorite Shaw movies.

I think Shaws is generally more wu xia than kung fu, though most of this set is kung fu ironically enough!

Their late 60s output was very good, but by the late 70s they were locked in a factory line. The shift to poorly chosen De Wolfe cues around that time definetly hurts.

The Golden Harvest films from the 1970s are generally cruder but their use of Sammo as a choregrapher made the difference.

If it helps your wallet any, I think quite a lot of their earliest films from the Tianyi Film Company-Shaw and Sons era are presumed lost, as are some of their Malay ones.
