I'd more than happy donate to this site. I've been here for more than a decade now. It's saved me financially on so many occasions.

I get why they need ads on this site, but they are all over the screen and I can't even navigate around them. It's overkill and going to keep people from using the site as often.

On 8-23-2021 the Blu-ray.com website is experiencing a lot of Pop-Up Ads. The website interface has changed to allow many more Pop-Up Ads..For example when using the Microsoft Edge 64 bit browser, I am seeing a total of 4 Pop-Up Ads on the screen. A Pop-Up Ad on the left, right, center, and at the bottom of the screen. While one can close all 4 Pop-Up Ads, as soon as one clicks a link on the Blu-ray.com website, the Pop-Up Ads end up reappearing every time a new link is pushed. The Pop-Up Ad at the bottom of the screen is the worse since it blocks ones ability to read on the website.

It should be mentioned that when one uses the Firefox 64 bit browser, there is only 1 Pop-Up Ad instead of 4 (one on the right side of the screen).

I realize Blu-ray.com gets some of its revenue from Pop-Up Ads, however in the ideal world it would be nice if there was no Pop-Up Ads or less Pop-Up Ads. Maybe a option to buy a yearly subscription to the website and in return after logging in not getting any Pop-Up Ads.

Every page I go to comes with the same video pop-up in the bottom right corner of the browser. Super annoying. I understand BD dot com needs to make money, but that video pop-up pushed me over the edge and I had to turn off 3rd party ads.

Thanks for the information, it works. While I do see a massive amount of Pop-Up Ads as soon as I visit the Blu-ray.com website, 100% of the Pop-Up Ads disappear as soon as I login to my free Blu-ray.com account. So the only people that well be complaining about Pop-Up Ads are people that are visiting the website and do not have a actual free account that allows them to turn off the Pop-Up Ads.

Go to the top of this page
upper right corner
click Site preferences
scroll down to Third party sites
under that uncheck the box after Display advertising
then at the bottom click Update Settings

Always logged in, never saw any until today. I understand the need for ads...but having it pop up EVERY TIME i change pages? That's too much.

None of us should have to go though with this IMO.
The site makes revenue though those Amazon deal links, which I have used many a time.

It was it at the time I posted that over a year ago. Recently the site owners made a change which turn ads on by default and there is now a setting in your site preferences that you can use to turn them off.

Third party sites -> (uncheck) Display advertising. Then click the Update settings button.

Have never understood why this site has never offered a monthly fee membership.
Factoring in the amount I've spent over the years on BR/4K - i'd be more than happy to contribute since i'm always on this site.
Easy money, no ?
I don't even mind leaving the ads in place - as long as they are not obnoxious - i'm looking at you corner video pop-up ad !!!!
