Got my set today! However, am currently 45% of the way thru watching Eurotrash at the moment, but I think I might have to break off when I finish the next disc and watch a few eps.

I am very impressed. The extras are the star - and they are stupendously good, like the kind of stuff we were getting in the mid-2000s. But the episodes look really presentable too - the 2007 DVD set made them as good as they were ever going to look considering how dupey and degraded the masters are, and this very tastefully adds the film sequences in good condition to those and several hours of new extras.
There are also extras not listed on the packaging/promo - 5 minutes of original trailers (inc specially shot material) and continuity, plus the entire 'Just For Fun' outtakes/wrap party tape in near-broadcast quality. No interlacing/grading mistakes or repeats of the Triffids/Red Dwarf debacles, you'll all be happy to know. |

The copy I ordered as a birthday gift (for today) hasn’t arrived from Amazon yet. I guess it’s my own fault for using them for a preorder, but, for someone who has Prime, why the absolute fudge are they using Royal Mail for deliveries during a period of many mail strikes? Madness.

1" wasn't the most suited format for multi-generation editing as it became noisy and washed out as you dropped generations.
However, as evidenced by other BBC 1" material on Blu-ray, just avoiding DVD compression improves things immensely. |

Waiting patiently as im in Los Angeles and it will arrive ...whenever. I swear amazon Prime is such a scam i never use it and i get the same result as those that do. I just make sure i spend the free shipping threshold, or buying from amazon.uk wait for good sales.
Bought The Young Ones with Whoops Apocalypse series DVD which i love, did they ever put that on bluray?? |
