Default Projector dealers in Chennai and Mumbai?

So I'm planning on getting the JVC x550 but it's priced almost double the US cost in most places. ProFX has it for 4.15 lakhs.

The same thing when imported from Amazon comes to around 2.8 lakhs including shipping.

Are there any other places to buy from which aren't a total rip-off?

What are your thoughts on the current HDR situation? Do you think Dynamic HDR10 (that'll probably come out some time next year) could be added as a firmware update?

There is a guy named Raj. Give him a call. He will find you the best deal.

I presume you are referring to the DLA-X5000BE, which is the equivalent of the US model DLA-X550R. If so, then forget ProFX I should be able to get you a price close to around ₹3 lakhs including tax, with warranty. That is if you are ok with buying from a dealer in Delhi.

As far as I know the X5000/X550 is already compatible with HDR10. At least the X550 is as per reviews.

Thank you very much! Yeah, I think that's a good price and I don't think buying from a dealer in Delhi is going to be much of an issue. And yup, they're the same model like you said.

I would also need to buy a player (I have the Philips BDP7501 in mind as the Samsung seems to be problematic.) Will this dealer be able to arrange that as well? If not, I can get the player from Amazon.

And really, thanks a lot for this as I haven't been able to find a good dealer for the JVC.

I have sent you the dealers number in a 'Private Message'.

I don't think he will be able to help you with the Philips UHD Blu-ray player. But it wouldn't hurt to ask him.
