That is excellent news indeed.

Twilight Time don't region lock their releases so it's infinitely preferable that they are releasing this rather than another, less progressive, company.

As long as it doesn't sell out before I've had a chance to order it...

I was excited for a split second until I realised this might not be region free.

Almost every single Twilight Time release is region free (Heaven and Earth and The Disappearance are the only ones I'm aware of that aren't) so feel free to get excited...

Wow - another 3D classic! So glad to see more of these getting released.

But...but...Samsung said 3D is dead when they announced that they had no 3D TV sets lined up for this year! Guess which brand I didn't buy when I bought my new TV last month?

Just saw this on HTF. Great news, next year is off to a promising start early on. I hope they can get to Gun Fury before 2017 is out.

Was expecting Mad Magician to be released on Blu, But the unexpected news of Pardon My Backfire and Spooks as supplementary material is truly welcome. Order early, folks!

Will probably go on sale late December. That's when I was able to order Man In the Dark in 2013.

It's a great way to start off vintage 3-D for 2017.

Wonder if the encode will come from the dual-strip 3-D version?

Paul H, it undoubtedly will. The film was shot dual strip, and the best early elements will be two-strip.

EDIT: I should clarify, the film has already been restored and exists as a DCP, which I have personally seen projected. There is no doubt that the restoration came from two-strip elements.

Those specs look like they came from IMDB. As Bob F. has said many times, IMDB is full of inaccuracies, so take them with a grain of salt.

Seeing "Magician" coming with the Stooges shorts makes me a bit miffed that Universal failed to include the Nat King Cole short originally planned to be with "ICFOS". Maybe if all of us "Old 3D" buffs rant and rave about this welcome addition we'll see more coming!

I share your disappointment about Nat King Cole, Warren, but obviously there are no music clearance issues with the Stooges. That was what thwarted release of the Universal short at this time.
