- you get excited when you see a blu ray with a lenticular slip cover and think it's 3D.

But, surely you were jesting!
Well that's mostly to make a point. For big blockbusters like the Marvel movies or Star Wars, watching them in 2D would be almost as much as a downgrade as watching them in black and white. It's my way of saying "Hell no I won't watch the 2D version!"

For the most part I don't like black and white, with a few exceptions. The "Noir" genre for example works splendidly in black and white.

Note: I specifically passed on "It Came From Outer Space" because it's b&w. Sci-fi should have color.

- I have over 600 3D blu rays, including lots of kiddie films and plenty of garbage like the One Direction movie and Izzie's Way Home (I DARE you to sit through that one!)

- I want to buy every 3D blu ray that's released, even the German autoconversions and unsubtitled foreign films in languages I can't understand

- I actually watch German autoconversions

- I genuinely weep with pleasure when I experience great 3D

- I pay silly money for rare 3D blu rays

- I leave angry NO 3D = NO SALE! reviews on Amazon for 2D releases of 3D movies

- I refuse to buy 2D versions of films that were released in 3D

- I won't even watch 2D versions of films that are available in 3D

- I scream at anyone going anywhere near my 3D TV in case they touch it

- I won't let anyone wear my 3D glasses unless they are already wearing glasses (I find that eyelashes muck up the glasses, and I hate cleaning them)

- I regularly tell my 3D TV how much I love it (it doesn't know I bought a second one)

- I bought a second 3D TV "just in case"

- I always wish that whatever 2D film I am watching was in 3D

- I won't buy a 4K player or discs because I prefer 3D EVERY time

- I have vowed never to buy a 2D TV ever again

- I get super angry and full of hate whenever I read "3D is dead"

- I buy every 3D capable Playstation game I can find

- I post obsessively on this forum

I think Smurphftw meant that watching 2D versions of 3D movies is like watching black and white versions of movies that were shot in colour, a viewpoint that I fully agree with.
Correct. That's basically what I was saying. And damn man you ARE hardcore. Lol. I'm with you on a lot of those points though.

Same. Although I think of my total as 2 because the 3rd is an Active 1080 Plasma and I'm not sure I could ever go back to watching 3D on that if the other 2 fail.

"Passed" because it's B&W? Well, that's your loss. Make sure you never watch "Casablanca" either!

I tried watching Casablanca and I fell asleep about 45 minutes in. I don't really feel like I'm missing much.

... you feel threatened and get defensive when coworkers discuss a movie with enthusiasm, yet fail to realize that movie's best attribute is 3D.

I feel furious when people totally dismiss it.

I just cant see that they cant see what I can see...

then they sit there drooling over 4k dvds that look identical to the 2d blu ray

- you watch at least a dozen 3-D movies a week.
- you have two 3-D tv's, a 3-D projector, a 3-D computer monitor
and three CRT tv's for watching field sequential 3-D movies on
VHS and DVD.
- you have a couple hundred 3-D comic books from the 50's to current.
- your walls are decorated with 3-D movie posters.
- you have a 3-D camcorder.
- you remember anniversaries of your favorite 3-D movies.
(11/16 was the 10 year anniversary of Beowulf, btw.)
