RALPH WRECKS THE INTERNET appears to have no UK (or anywhere else) 3D version, so it may not look good for CAPTAIN MARVEL.

I know many aren't feeling Brie as Captain Marvel but i say give her a chance, these are just trailers.
90% of the time marvel has been spot on for their casting. Especially for the main roles.
Agreed. I think she can do a good job in this mostly unknown super hero role. I have no idea what the story is about for her character, or what her powers are, so as with Ant-Man (which is entertaining), I'll keep an open mind too. As long as a woman kicks ass as a super hero, I don't see why some are upset about more female hero movies, alongside many of the man led super hero films. What's the big deal? This movie hasn't even been released to be seen and fairly reviewed, and already some people are saying it's no good (but that's true of many things).

Ralph is from Disney animation though. Pixar seems to have lasted longer with blu ray 3D releases after Disney's animated 3D films were no longer on blu ray 3D for a bit, and then Marvel is still releasing blu ray 3D overseas thankfully.

Cool. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it reveals more about this character and her powers. And the main villain, which I read a little bit about awhile back.

And hopefully Sam Jax doesn’t look too fake to the point of distraction...

I just hope Carol squares her shoulders and balls her fists up enough.

Seriously, there better be more to this movie than that one-note. I'm willing to give it a try, but -- the teaser isn't too promising to me.

I'll be interested to see the trailer. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks. The new trailer definitely gives me a better idea of what to expect. Looks promising.

If you were able to check out Ant Man 1, you'll see Michael Douglas is recreated as his younger self and Kurt Russell in GOTGalaxy 2, each very convincing compared to the questionable believability of Gran Moff Tarkin and Leia in Rogue One, and Flynn/Clu in Tron Legacy. Captain Fury /Samuel Jackson, looks convincing here too as his younger self.

While an improvement from Flynn/Clu, I still found the cgi on Douglas & Russell distracting too. But after watching this trailer it appears that Sam Jax is a further improvement and I’m hopeful that it will not be a distraction. Tough to be sure from a few quick scenes but the trailer does make me more hopeful!

Looks like more of the same, nothing in that trailer really stands out though. Here's hoping for great 3D and a 3D blu ray down the line.

With Clu/Flynn, they were using quite a bit of man made animation for the face and movements instead of all motion capture, and it just didn't match what a real person would do, since it's such a subtle thing to get the movements exactly right. Same with Star Wars Rogue One. With Ant Man's Douglas, I'll have to watch it again, but it looked flawless as if they were using his real motion capture for his face muscles from what I could see. It was fully convincing for me the number of times I've watched it. Same with how they made Captain America thin and shorter in the first Captain America, First Avenger.

So with Nick Fury, this takes place before he forms the Avengers team, or ever met one from what I read.

I wonder if they felt Chewie was too close to Chewie from Star Wars, and didn't want to confuse people. Whatever their logic if that's the case, they should've stuck with the original names if possible. Thanks for the info.

Captain Marvel is shot ENTIRELY with IMAX cameras. The only other “Hollywood” picture to get this treatment so far was Infinity War.....if the quality of the 3D in that movie is any indication I think Captain Marvel (and the upcoming EndGame—also shot entirely on IMAX cameras) will have a MARVELOUS 3D Bluray!

When I saw Aquaman yesterday in IMAX 3D they showed the Captain Marvel trailer and the 3D was FANTASTIC, the scenes of her in space were top notch.

https://www.imax.com/news/Experience...to-the-Fullest

IMAX only mentions Captain Marvel using expanded aspect ratio for key sequences, nothing about filming with IMAX cameras. Also the tweet included down at the page mentions Endgame is the second Hollywood movie filmed entirely in IMAX, which seems to discount Captain Marvel.

Thanks!

My industry source must be incorrect. And it makes more sense to have Avengers 4 wholly in IMAX given it was shot back-to-back with Avengers 3 (which was entirely IMAX).

Hoping for at least Ragnarok or Antman & Wasp 3D quality in Captain Marvel 3D!
