It has a hair under 7mhz bandwidth of the d-2 composite tape. Nearly 1:1 transfer without any compression or analog to digital transfer. Almost all tv shows look way better than dvd versions. I have complete seasons of star trek tng, voyager, ds9, x-files, babylon 5, twin peaks and some sg-1, millennium episodes.

Just a correction here, d2 tape is digital but it is composite.

This will be one of my first purchases after I get another car, still my favourite anime of all-time.

This has had so many releases now I can barely keep track of them all . Apparently the Japanese series has huge rights issues and isn't likely to turn up in the U.S. again soon.
