Between the crushed boxes and the Pops I don't even know why I bothered getting it. I should have just waited for the standard one.

The exact same reason Sentai, and Funimation refuse to sell to people outside of the US.
no point in discouraging it - simply disallow it. after all, licensing restrictions. companies (licensees) doing direct selling are less likely to show their licensors they're breaking the terms of the contract. third parties, amazon marketplace sellers, retailers and the like aren't going to be possible to influence over where they ship to, i'd imagine.

the real reason you'll find wildly varying shipping costs internationally seem to be a lack of consideration for the potential (current) international market, due to the size and dominance of the domestic one.

this might seem self-defeating, because if they gave it some consideration they might find their business expands. some will probably have decided it's not worth the hassle.

some popular sellers are effectively / actually wholesalers allowing public access, and they've got shipping methods that are much more cost-effective than USPS.

one popular method seems to involve shipping by the sack-load, which must be a reduced rate for weight on a larger scale done frequently, in which items are individually wrapped & addressed by machine and resent from the destination country once the sack has arrived and been opened. deep discount, all your music, wowHD all seem to use this.

Here is everything that I have received between January 2-22:

Top 2 I acquired in a trade with BWBODDY
Bottom 2 I purchased from kevers7290 ($30 well spent!)

Stay tuned for unboxing photos of the Japanese import for BlackRock Shooter OVA BD/DVD Limited Edition, the side of which is shown in the first photo!

Love Black Rock Shooter. You need to grab the series if you haven't already.

I remember liking both the OVA and the series when I bought a Malaysian bootleg of BRS on eBay back in 2012. The Japanese BD box set of the series is one of the next few things I want to purchase since it has English subs, so I can finally throw out that old bootleg DVD. But itís much more expensive, while the LE OVA box I managed to get for $55 shipped from Japan to my home.

Nice BRS collection! Iím looking for the series BD without the figma, so that it is not as expensive and I do not collect figma. I would like to purchase nendoroids from the show someday though!

Nice haul, zenpai!

Quick question though, did Our Home's Fox Deity ever got a Blu-ray release from NIS?

Nope, Our Home’s Fox Deity has only been released as Premium and Standard Edition DVD. The PEs are OOP now but Volume 2 is not too hard to find for cheap. Volume 1 is a lot harder to find for a decent price though. I’m still searching.

Neither did Zakuro, House of Five Leaves, or Pandora Hearts.

^^ I picked up House of Five Leaves used about two years ago, and my copy was one of the original run that had mono audio on the discs instead of stereo. I contacted NIS about their replacement disc program they had done for that series about 5 years before that, and they still had replacements available and sent them to me. Now that was some great service on their part!
