I love Carpenter's and was really looking forward to the prequel. When I saw the trailer and read the reviews I was disappointed and held off seeing it. Got around to watching it recently and enjoyed it a lot. The special effects are really cool. I'll definitely be picking it up although I don't like the spine, I think I'll get the German SteelBook.

Out of curiosity, what don't you like about the spine? The Universal blue?

I have a handful of Disney, drive angry, green hornet, horrible bosses, machete, pulp fiction, and a few others (just thinking on top of my head here at work).

Sutter comin' through again, your pics always dominate sir. Thanks for those, the thing slip looks FANTASTIC, day one for sure. Probably Godzilla as well, loves me some pop up slipcovers. AND it's a criterion? Very stoked on that one.

Agree completely on all accounts. Love the original, expected garbage out of the prequel/remake and was pleasantly surprised. I would suggest a rental maybe first, just to be sure. But I enjoyed it quite a bit more than I thought I would. Although I wish the effects had been practical and not so CGI.

How do people ask for much more than $5 then? I've seen a lot of higher prices than $5 is all.

It's quite easy to ask for more that $5. Asking is different than selling.

Ok, I understand that concept, but you must admit people have bought slips for more than that. I myself have spent more than $5 to get the Forgetting Sarah Marshall slip. I see plenty asking $10-15 for some, am I to believe they never sell for that and always come closer to $5?

Hey, is the Pinocchio slip hard to find? I'm thinking about getting the movie here in Australia and was wondering if I could get this slip easily. Also, I posted this a few pages back and was wondering if Les Miserables has a slipcover from any country. Thanks

Some people give them away and others ask $5, $10, $20, etc. You decide what you want to ask and we decide if we want to pay it. That's the way it normally works. In general, do a little research and see what others are asking for any given slip. If you want a better shot at selling it faster, price lower. I say, price realistically. As most here say, remember that it is a piece of cardboard after all.
