Liongate? has been doing the plastic slipcovers for these steelbooks lately. What is your tolerance for damage to that slip? There is a nice small crease in the front of my RZ tilogy slip. Steelbook is beautiful. If I were still collecting the usual slips, that's an easy pass and I'll find another. This RZ one frankly I don't really care.

Not sure if is this the right place to post this, but I finally got my September Shout! Factory sale order today; one month later. The time frame isn't so much the issue, as the condition of the slipcovers. Both my TEEN WOLF and THE 'BURBS are banged up pretty badly, and have indents on them as if someone was writing with a pen on top of them.

I'm honestly getting really tired of having damaged slipcovers. What's the point in even offering them to collectors, only to have us be so completely discouraged by the condition they always seem to arrive in.

No only that, the corner of the cover art WHEN HARRY MET SALLY was also completely bent inside the Blu-ray case. Gotta love damaged packaging.

Yeah, it's a lottery ordering with slips. I try to get them in store whenever I can, but that's not much of a luxury lately.

Apologies if this question doesn’t belong here but I’m looking for some help from anyone with experience posting Slipcovers out of the US to other territories.

I have been buying a lot of slipcovers from the US from various sources including here on the forum, but have become confused by the American postal system and what it charges. Of the nearly twenty or more slips I’ve bought from the US to the UK they have all been different costs with their postage? I’ve posted many slips from the UK to the US and it’s always the same cost, but there doesn’t seem to be a definitive price when coming from the US.

As an example I’ve recently posted a slip to a member here on the forum which cost about $7, but have been quoted over $35 to ship the same thing to the UK?

Can anyone recommend the best and cheapest method to ship something like a slipcover from the US to the UK?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi. I ordered this slip for MIB International back in December. I ordered the actual 4K film in November and it came with a slip, but it was rather a but bent for my taste so I ordered another slip for it and this one came in. It does not look like the normal slip because Molly is holding a Neuralyzer instead of a gun. Is this an exclusive to somewhere I had not heard of? Because I cannot find it on this site.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to remove the leftover sticky residue which sometimes gets left on from the external stickers?

Got hold of a 4K slip I’ve been searching for but after removing the digital copy sticker it’s left a really strong residue behind. I’ve taken off the top layer of the sticker, but it’s been on there for a few years so left a strong residue behind.

Any help appreciated.

I've always stuck with Goo Gone. A little goes a long way. If the residue is really stuck on there, you might let the Goo Gone sit for a couple minutes. Just don't scrub too hard or else you might take the top layer of the slipcover off. Sometimes you have to go a couple rounds with the Goo Gone to get it all off, but it works great.

Default General slipcover pricing question.....

I have a ton of slipcovers from collecting blu-rays & UHDs over the years. I don't personally collect slipcovers (i.e. seek them out if I don't have one), but I always keep them if they come with the disc I buy. I take them off and keep them in totes in my finished basement. I finally went through them all to confirm which ones I had and then organized them alphabetically to find certain ones easier in the future.

After some research, I'm noticing some of them are quite rare and going for a decent amount of $. I personally have no use for them and would be happy to sell to some to fellow blu-ray.com members looking for certain rare slipcovers, but I'm struggling to determine what is fair market value. I see bluraysforeveryone.com has a slipcover section with certain prices attached to each, but is anyone really paying that much (especially for the ones listed at $50-80)? I don't want to rip anyone off, but also don't want to sell one for $5 if I could get $30-40 on eBay or another site (like here). Is it reasonable to assume 50% off the price from that site is a reasonable price? For example, they have Unforgiven 4K listed at $65. I'm not sure who would want to pay $65 for a slipcover, but then again I don't collect them. However, I have that slipcover in mint condition. Therefore, if I asked for 50% of their price would that be reasonable or are people actually paying the $ they are asking?

I would prefer to sell the slipcovers only since I actually still want the case+disc, but I understand I could see the whole package for a decent amount on eBay. I don't really want to go through the hassle of re-buying the disc. Thoughts/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
