What a good news this is Hope they will keep the original Golden Harvest logo at the beginning, but as seeing all the earlier releases by Vicol having the new GH logo, this is likely not going to happen.

How's the English subs? No extras?

Would any of you say that it's a fat chance to get this uncut & English friendly outside HK?

More chance of Shu Qi popping round to give me a nude oil massage.

Yeah, wonder if there are extras on this one? The old Universe DVD had a lot of extras I believe.

Forgot to ask: is it 1080p/24? Not 1080i/60 as in the JAP release?

How does the PQ compare to the German release? Screenshots looked alright though, thanks for posting.

it's 1080p/24...at least that's what my player is telling me. Subs are ok but a few grammatical errors now and again . Only extra is a trailer. It looks nice if a little soft but thats probably inherent to the original photography.

Looks way nicer than the local DVD which was comparable to VHS, and that version was missing some 20min

A little irritant which i find on a lot of releases, the english subs stay on when the characters are speaking english. Not a biggie but a mild annoyance.

For me, this is definitely a big plus, so much actually that I don't buy releases that do not have English subtitles all the way trough.

That's nearly always the case. Agree it's an irritant.

It's an irritant that I understand with Hong Kong sourced discs, but when it's carried across to western releases, (looking at you, Well Go USA), it f***s me right off.

Yes! Particularly when it's something important, like a note.

Just got my order, too bad that they didn't bother to subtitle the bloopers in the end of the movie, a few lines more to translate/subtitle but they decided to go cheap.

For anyone interested in the Australian Blu-ray release they skimmed out with the international 99 minute version, dual language with zero extras. 20 min of content gone Super annoying as all the local online websites say 120min
