Thanks for posting this.

I never bought the US Blu-ray because it was supposed to have noticeable lip-sync problems. Hopefully this new master will have corrected that.

Where's a good place to buy this? Does Amazon Japan ship to the US?

They do, but unfortunately they are now refusing to ship this item (or any item sold by allcinema SELECTION/Stingray) internationally, including their previously available titles. I don't know if this is down to the seller, or to, but the response I received from's English customer service was less than helpful:

Dear McCrutchy,

Thank you for contacting us at
This is...from Amazon Japan's Customer Service.

I am following up in regard of the inquiry you had for the third party seller of which you like to make an international purchase with.

After confirming, I have confirmed that our site have been reviewing our international shipping standards of items gradually.
As the result of this reviewing, our relevant department had to judge the items were not suitable for our international shipping standards for some important reasons.
Therefore, the shipping attribute of the items was changed to “Items ineligible for international shipping”.

Please bear in mind, our international shipping standards of items are frequently variable and hardly predictable.
Thus, there are some possibilities that the shipping attribute of the items would be changed again to the items eligible for international shipping, but we are not able to predict it.
Thank you for understanding.

Thank you so much for giving me a chance to help you today. I hope you have a lovely day.

If there is anything else I can help you with, please reply to this email directly and I am more than happy to assist you further.
It is always my pleasure to help.

I appreciate your business and hope to see you again at

Best regards,
Items that are restricted to Japan (like all of the porn titles) are explicitly indicated as not eligible for shipment outside of Japan, but there have been more and more listings going without this notice that are nonetheless barred from shipping to a non-Japan address. My guess is that this is Amazon being unreasonable, since they are fulfilling these orders for Stingray. I tried contacting allcinema SELECTION in English, but, unsurprisingly, I never got a response. Either way, it's Stingray who suffer, so I hope they're aware of what is going on.
