I can't make a top 10 due to a lack of consensus on my part (of what to include and leave out of such list), yet I can easily include 2 in the first places:

Resident Evil (1996, the original game):
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...OwumGanZJkAgfd

And Metal Gear Solid (1998, the 1st game for the PSX, too):
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...ujBP0obvaH710k

Due to their importance I decided to try playing both to contemplate everything they had to offer, like all scenes and in the MGS case almost all codec calls (some I couldn't catch and were not recorded). I was amazed at how much they had to offer (see above).

The 1st RE game is best described in this video:

Words fail to describe how meaningful and geniously conceived these games were.

Timesplitters Future Perfect (PS2)
Ratchet & Clank Going Commando (PS2)
Timesplitters 2 (PS2)
Ty The Tasmanian Tiger (PC/PS2)
Fallout: New Vegas (PC)
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (PS2/PC)
Ratchet & Clank (PS2)
Midnight Club 2 (PS2/PC)
TES IV: Oblivion (PC)
Ristar (Sega Genesis)

Of course I have a limited amount of games I've actually played in the past to choose from, and a huge steam/gog library with tons of classics that I never got around to playing, so I'm sure in the future this list might change.

This is tough. I remember how out of my mind with excitement I was when I first got the SNES with Street Fighter II. So this list is made up of games that gave me something like that feeling. Memory and nostalgia will also be factors in my selection.

In no particular order my top 10 games of all time are:

Street Fighter II (Super Nintendo)
Streets of Rage 2 (Sega Megadrive)
Donkey Kong Country (Super Nintendo)
Super Mario World (Super Nintendo)
Resident Evil 4 (Sony Playstation 2)
GTA Vice City (Sony Playstation 2)
Red Dead Redemption 2 (Sony Playstation 4)
Supreme Warrior (Panasonic 3DO)
Alan Wake (Microsoft Xbox 360)
Arnie (Commodore 64)

I'll explain a couple of the obscurer choices. Supreme Warrior was a live action first-person kung fu game. It was filmed at the Shaw Brothers Studio on legit kung-fu movie sets with proper wire work and all that. It came in a really lovely box and it occupies a place in my gaming heart that no other game can.

Arnie was a very basic looking shooter where you went through enemy bases shooting them. On the cassette case the picture was a really generic commando guy. It had nothing to do with The Austrian Oak or any of his movies but you get the idea. It sounds very generic but to me it just seemed better and more polished than other C64 games. I was very young and rubbish at games so I could hardly play it or even comprehend basic plot details, but Arnie was the game that planted the seed. I'll be a gamer 'til I die and it started with Arnie.

Another guy who loves Timesplitters 2. Easily the best multiplayer (in this case local) I have ever played. Virus was insane.

Vagrant Story ~ PS1
MGS V ~ PS4
Burnout Paradise ~ PS3
Singstar ~ PS3
Uncharted 4 ~ PS4

I didnít really have access to much gaming until the PS1. So I donít have much experience with prior consoles. Iím quickly amassing the old consoles and banging through the games, but many of the good ones are pricey and it makes my list a bit basic.
I canít make up my mind on some of the franchises.
1- Red Dead Redemption 2-1-Revolver
2- Silent Hill 2-1-3-origins-Downpour-Room
3- Metal Gear Solid 3-4-MGS-2-MG-MG2-5
4-Gran Turismo 5 (while the used cars and rotation races were available)
5-GTA 5-Vice City-3-VCS-LCS-LS-4
6-Resident Evil- 1-6
7-Final Fantasy Tactics
8-Chrono Trigger/Cross
9-Doom/2/Final Doom
10-Armored Core PS1/2 era games
Honorable mentions
-Final Fantasy VII Saga
Squaresoft Ps1/2 era games
Street Fighter 2-Alpha
Streets of Rage
Robocop vs Terminator
Castlevania franchise
