It's getting close to the end of another year so I decided to attempt a run through of all the 2019 3D Blu ray releases. It won't be long before we are logging favourites for the year. I've watched Aquaman, End Game, Fantastic Beast 2 and King of Monsters since Friday! Firing up Alita now...

I'll get another best of the year poll up early next month, so we can vote on every title released in 2019, there are still a few to come...

Last one I bought and started watching but got interrupted... Will finish though... is Immortals 3D.... This was $2.50 at Big lots ... which seems to be a great place to get 3D BD now as they had several titles and I think mostly at $2.50.

Just ordered "Measuring the World" (Die Vermessung der Welt). It's A German/Austrian film based on the novel of the same name.

This was actually filmed in 3D so it's not another German autoconversion rip off. From what I read the 3D is gorgeous and got a 5.8 rating on IMDb.

Region B with English subtitles (had to search the web to confirm this, audio not noted on different Amazon sites) though some reviews said it also contained English Audio.

Hey Joe, The 3D is gorgeous! It's full screen(no black bars) and the surround sound 7.1 audio is very nice. I have the 2015 German release.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Der-V...lu-ray/180323/

It doesn't have an English audio track but the English subtitles work fine. Please let us know if your version has English audio.

Edit: it also plays Region A (Warner Brothers)

Hi pickit,

Thanks so much. It's already been shipped. Got it from Amazon UK and the side binding had the WB logo on it. Will let you know if there is English audio

I can tell you now, there's no English audio, only subtitles.

Beautiful 3D in Measuring the World. Really enjoyed the movie too. Underrated hidden 3D gem.

Watched Man of Steel & Justice League last night.

Hate the bad camera work on Man of Steel, but a good movie with ok 3D.

A big contrast when putting on Justice League - with it's excellent camera and a lot of beautiful scenes. And with better 3D, including 16x9.

Strange thing is - it's the same director... Zack Snyder.

Man of Steel is a great looking movie, Justice League is a really ugly looking movie.

True, but the camerawork is more stable on the latter.

I don't like a lot of close ups & shakycam etc - like it is with Man of Steel.

But that's me

Hi bleed,

Guess it's worth doing extensive searches for 3D discs on different sites?

The 3D was great.

(And you obviously haven't seen American Mummy)
