I was going to buy Goodfellers because it was under the 'Limited Prices' prices, From £3.99 section. But the movie is £5.99, hence the 'FROM'. That's a dirty trick in my book.

It isn't really a dirty trick because it says clear as day "from" but I still keep getting "caught" by that one myself.

I bought Goodfellas a few months ago and it was a case where my Blu-ray was actually better than the iTunes 4K version. The picture quality was dreadful so I ended up getting a refund.

There are two 4K Goodfellas on the Irish Store and is remastered with Extras.

There is only the unmastered 4K on the UK store.

The strange thing is that back in March it was the other way around ad I reported it to WB. The Remaster was there a month ago.

So why did the remaster leave the UK store ?

Or have I got it backwards and unknowingly had my stores mixed up?

In my Purchase history these show as purchased in HD though... even though when I bought them they were available in 4K.

Would be nice if they upgraded the entire series as I purchased the entire series directly in iTunes. At the time, I was trying to go "all in" with iTunes before I realized the fun stuff they do with content you think you own.

Maybe they will come back to iTunes when the ATMOS is ready .. like maybe a new iTunes set around the time the new movie is released. That's next year. That's very possible.
If the Craig movies didn't get Atmos for their disc releases then none of them will ever get it. The pre-Craig ones will at least be getting HDR whenever the discs happen.

Check if the UK store has the "remastered feature" version. The US store has it and it's a revelation compared to the old version.

The UK version, which had "(Remastered)" in the title, is no longer available. This is the one I own, with the extra features. The version available in the UK store now is titled "Goodfellas" only and is a different one, without extras.

It has been explained to you that while Apple's Purchase History shows HD in your Purchase History, a 4K purchase is indeed a 4K purchase.

IT was STILL a 4K purchase though. If MGM joined Movies Anywhere tomorrow, your purchase would show as a 4K purchase in MA, and port out as such.

FUD doesn't do anybody any good.

Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately on the UK and Ireland iTunes store, its the 4K version non-remastered without any extras.

Thos is very, very unusual.

The Irish Store didn't have the Remaster and the UK did.

Now we get it and the UK has it removed.

No we have both in Ireland.

I would advise contacting WB. Perhaps in rectifying the problem on the Irish Store they broke it in the UK.

Just between us are you making this up?

Where do you get this information?

The Craig movies lost 4K but you think the rest of the series will eventually get HDR ? ... Based on what ?... ?? Do you have a source for this information or it's in your tea leaves?

He's no doubt basing this prediction on what has happened many times in the past, where the HDR upgrade coincides with the physical release of 4K movies.

What is the basis for your pessimism?

The fact that these movies came with HD digital copies.

Everyone who redeemed those digital copies got HD.

The studio wants to be paid for these movies in 4K HDR.

By the way here’s what Apple replied to my question about these.

We do not own these third-party contents; only the right to sell the license to play them. They have the total control on setting prices, modifying, removing or when and how they will make their content available in iTunes.

They don’t own it. But they sell it. I won’t buy it but when I have free cides I’ll still redeem them.

As it was explained to you earlier by Gonzo, MGM don't provide 4K digital codes for any of their movies, unless in collaboration with another studio. So this should not be a surprise.

I'm not sure what you are trying to highlight in the response from Apple. Did you really think that iTunes own the movies they sell?
