I found the banding, particularly in the sky in darker scenes, really distracting. Afterwards, I put on the lower bitrate HDR steaming version to compare to the disc… WTF!?! Those same darker scenes, are now nearly black. I don’t mean a slight difference, I mean one version is colour graded to look like 6pm, the other like 3am. So I checked another steaming version, this time in Dolby Vision. Same thing, very different tonal balance. And no banding whatsoever on either lower bitrate steaming version. Has anyone else noticed this massive colour differnce? Anyone know anything about this?

Edit: Nevermind. I figured it out. Improperly encoded / decided Dolby Vision.

Dude, and the 11 people who unfortunately liked this post, you're missing the point. It's not about wanting to hear foul language. It's about blatant censorship of the original material just for some bucks. I know this is old but it just bugs me how it went past your head.

watched this last night because the concept sounded intriguing, but yikes. The acting in this was not good to put it politely.

I watched it last night on Netflix. While much of the story is predictable, I like that little twist toward the end.

I was surprised this ended up so high in my 2022 rankings, but it's hugely effective where it counts. Would be cool if the sequel added 3d into the mix.

Mason Gooding as “Dan Connor” (married to “Becky”)

Grace Caroline Currey as “Becky Connor” (married to “Dan Connor”, so she naturally now has his last name: “Connor”)

Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays “Becky’s” dad, but is named, “James Connor” - Why would he have the same last name as Dan? He is not Dan’s father!!

The father's name is James Conner. IMDB made a mistake.

I see they have his character’s name ending with an “er” while the others end in “or”.

But in a work of fiction with fictional characters, why not choose a less similar name?? There’s billions of last names to choose from!!!

So strange a choice

Yeah, I agree, I don't know why they made them have such similar names.
