It feels odd they have a site that actually behaves now

Not a lot in the sale, but these are pretty good:

https://screenbounddirect.co.uk/prod...ition-blu-ray/

https://screenbounddirect.co.uk/prod...lu-ray-boxset/

Just think of it as Castle of the Living Dead and The Young General docco for 17 quid.

£2.50 postage for the £8.99 Death Ship blu

Makes a bit of a mockery of the 5% off code.

Was hoping that Charlton Heston set would be in the sale, but then I remembered it’s not even out yet…

You can always go back to the old site, it's still there and has the same items on sale minus the extra 5% off.

Screenbound email just now:

"To celebrate Cyber Monday, enjoy 20% off all titles, including our new releases and pre-orders! But hurry as this offer must end 30th November 2022."

Mmm: older titles are from £7.onwards, but the Reeves set is 23.99 and Ghost Ship is 11.99.

Blood of the Vampire is £11.99

I think postage alone will be more than the price of Bag Boy Lover Boy

https://screenbounddirect.co.uk/prod...r-boy-blu-ray/

Edit: EXTRA5 to get an extra 5% at checkout (if registered)

Black Friday had significant savings on a reasonable range of titles e.g. Pandora and the Flying Dutchman BR was £3.99, Cyber Monday now has moderate saving on all titles e.g. Pandora and the Flying Dutchman BR now £10.39.

Thought about picking Blood of the Vampire BR but once postage is factored in (even with the 5% promo) the saving is marginal.

Specifically annoyed that they hiked the price for Pandora, I had it in my basket and went to checkout last night and it had gone way up in price. So now I'm not placing an order!

I was going to buy Pandora as well plus a bunch of cheapy dvd's but the Cyber Monday deal screwed that, so that don't get my money.

Providing this now serves as a Screenbound thread, I notice Flesh for Frankenstein and Blood for Dracula have been submitted to the BBFC:

https://www.bbfc.co.uk/release/flesh...jpwwc0ynzc2mza

https://www.bbfc.co.uk/release/blood...jpwwc0ynzg2mji

88 have been licencing a lot from Screenbound of late, but I imagine Screenbound plan to release these themselves, since otherwise surely 88 would be the ones submitting them.

I highly doubt these will beat the excellent Vinegar Syndrome & Severin UHD releases.

Damn. I’d been holding out on importing the 4Ks in the hope a reliable UK label would release them. Screenbound are inconsistent and I doubt we’ll see 4K over here.

Colour me hyped, watched Flesh for Frankenstein last year and thought it was a blast, sadly couldn’t find Blood for Dracula anywhere.

I'm in the same boat. Been meaning to pick them up but the prices were putting me off. I'm surprised some of the other UK boutiques like Arrow or Second Sight didn't jump at the opportunity to acquire the rights.

Foggy - Dracula is even better!

Screenbound will release new horror film Malum on Blu-ray on the eve before Halloween. Terror Vision are releasing a UHD in the US. They’re also releasing Hunt Her Kill Her on the same day.

They’re also releasing Olivia Newton-John film Toomorrow on DVD.

Thought this film was forever caught in rights hell. As far as I know this could be it's first ever legit release.

That said there's cult bottom of barrel scrappings and then below that there's Toomorrow. From what I remember essentially a science fiction musical for kids and young teens with a couple of moments of random female nudity (not Olivia alas) thrown in, probably at the producer's behest.

A pretty poor film. Not quite Cliff Richard's Take Me High levels of straight faced absurdity nor Norman Wisdom's What's Good For the Goose levels of inappropriateness but certainly a film where the tone is somewhat off. A must see for fans trashy mainstream failures, 70s cinema fantastique or just films where previously great directors (in this case Val Guest) go to die.

Though I wish we'd got a blu-ray I'll be picking this up. I've a feeling Screenbound are going to well out of this title.
