Default More New Line Cinema Movies

I have just entered the format war and I chose Blu-ray because of more movies and studio support. The only problem is my favorite studio only has 5 movies listed. Who wants more from New Line like The Nightmare on elm streets, Jasons, Blades, Lord of the rings, and more great movies.I know that I do.

I would like to see alot, the Nightmares for sure. Little Nicky is a awsome movie and its one of my favorite comedies. I like horror movies most though and New Line has them all.

The Final Destination trilogy is awsome. Do you know the writter of them Jeffrey Reddick use to live 30-40 minutes away from me in my state Kentucky. My first cousin works at a nursing home where his mom is and she has talked to him many of times.

I agree. They have to put the complete Nightmare and Friday collections on Blu. Lord of the Rings has to be coming. That alone would destroy HD DVD.

but new line is neutral well kind of but still lord of the rings might make it to hd-dvd but with new line they release it on blu first then hd-dvd unless they can go exclusive to blu by the time that comes out

I watched all 3 extended versions on the same day, took around 12 hours to watch including toilet/food breaks, and no I didn't do both at the same time before anybody says anything.

I have a question about LOTR though. Even with a BD50 disc is there enough room to fit a really high bit-rate encode, PCM lossless audio track (plus the usual others) and all the commentaries etc on just the single disc, baring in mind that the DVD version of the extended films had to be split over 2 discs? Especially with Return of The King as it's almost 4 hours long, and especially if they decided to do seamless branching so that you would have both the extended and original (and any others Peter Jackson might come up) with on the same disc (just like CE3K does). I'm assuming that even if you could it would be a bit of a squeeze. Or could these films possibly be the first ones to use BD100's?

well it will probably have the movie on 1 disc and then the extras will either be in standard def or on disc 2

I hope we'll see the Austin Powers series, or at least one or two of them, on BD in 2008.

Obviously, given the commercial, Wedding Crashers is coming sooner rather than later.

I think there's a reasonable shot that LOTR Theatrical Editions will come out at this time in 2008.
