I went to it. ended up getting Ray Park's auto. Nice guy. Then grabbed a couple of books before leaving. I had fun. Are you a collector?

Not in the strictest sense, but I've been blessed to have met several celebrities whose work I admire since 2004. I've met Ray Park twice, and he signed an 8x10 of Darth Maul for me. I quit going to the local conventions though, because the prices were skyrocketing so much.

I know what you mean. $50 to get into the Con? But people continue to pay the price.

Madness is my favorite comic book store so far. They really do try to keep it interesting over there.

Yep, and its just sad, too. I think tickets were $15 or $20 when i first started going, but they increased fairly quick...along with the autograph fees. My first show, I went in with $138 and left with $5. For that, I got admission, five autographs, and food from the vending machines. Good luck with that kind of deal now...

I've only been there a couple of times, but it looks really nice, and most people seem friendly. I just haven't read weekly comics in 20 years or more, so catching up's pretty futile. Instead, I read the collected graphic novels, especially if I can find hardcovers of them.

Ha! That's the same thing that I do. I was out of collecting/reading for over a decade. Got back into it by catching up on some storylines through graphic novels as well. Now, that's all I buy to read, and the occasional #1's.

Regarding the Cons, I now only attend if there is an autograph that I want. Otherwise, I'm good. I will say that WalkerCon was just as good as ComicCon. If you're a horror flick fan, that's a cool event to go to.
