Thumbs up CES 2016 anyone going?

How about a Blu-ray.com member meet and greet at CES?

I'll be going. I'm so excited, my second year. So ready for 4k Blu-ray.

I love CES, this is my 20th consecutive year and I have also thoroughly enjoyed every one.

Let me know if you would like to meet to compare notes.

How do you deal with the traffic? It was costing me $45 to take cabs around the strip no matter where I was going due to how busy it was. Walking from Treasure Island to Caesar's took damn near 45 minutes because of how congested the side walks were. It's insane. Even escaping to Fremont Street racked up a $55 fare.

Depends here's how I did it:

I stayed at the Luxor, it was far away from the convention and at the end of the strip but the shuttle to the convention center helped and it was very frequent. Every 10 mins or so.

I just walked my way from the Luxor to usually the middle where Cosmopolitan and other clubs and CES parties were at. The walk from Encore and Wynn area where most of the events happened was about 45 mins. I had my team with me but I usually tell them that I would meet them there because if I walked with another person they would have gotten distracted or something.

UBER and Taxi price hikes and hidden fees? No thanks.

You lucked out knowing in advance and planning, lol. I went out there last minute and had to stay on Fremont Street so I pretty much was forced into high priced cabs. In two days I spent $320 on cab fare and tips. It was that ridiculous. Never again will I be out there on CES unless I can guarantee a room on the strip. I usually stay at the Caesars but they were full up, as was everywhere else down there even going to the Stratosphere. I'm glad I got to experience Fremont Street, but that is a one and done thing I think. Just didn't like the feel of it, seemed more geared towards younger, rowdier folks.
