Hey Cliff.
Very pleased to read about "Cat People". Thank you!!! I'm in!!

My overall #1 bluray WANT is "The Changeling." Does George C. Scott have a bigger movie not yet on Blu? Would love for Scream to come through on this. Can you tell us anything about the possibilities on this one?

Thanks!

I upgraded my Image dvd of An American Christmas Carol to the Shout BD and am very pleased. I was wondering if at all possible to licence the made for television Miracle on 34th Street (1973). Great cast, and I've read that there is a big demand for this. Thanks!

Seems there are a bunch of songs they couldn't clear for this set. Too bad. I will still buy it for the sketches and I hope the sales will warrant a complete boxed set with ALL the music intact.

Cliff hasn't posted in this thread in six months, I don't think there's much point in still asking questions.

As of May, it was doubtful.

Doubtful... Sorry
That's what I figured, but I do think the two films have a pretty strong fan base and reputation.
Actually the DVD didnt sell very well, under 10K, so there is no way I could get a BD approved.

I find it very hard to believe that something like Nnja III would sell more copies than Count Yorga!
Oh well, hopefully one of the other labels will give these films their due on BD.

I love the Yorga films too bdgirl72, but I think we're out of luck. If memory serves me correctly, someone asked Twilight Time if they had any plans for the movies, and they said no. With Scream Factory also out of the mix, that's pretty much it for US boutique labels who distribute MGM titles. Neither Arrow nor Second Sight in the UK have any plans to release them either. I keep hoping they'll show up on MGMHD at least, but so far no dice.

What are the chances of a Freaks and Geeks Blu-ray set?

I have a few questions for him, as well. But, I doubt he's involved with this topic anymore, unless he forgot about this topic.

Never going to happen, unfortunately. It's been asked about before, and the folks at Shout said that while the show was shot on film, it was edited on tape, so 35mm masters don't exist.

I have seen these on MGMHD in the past and the HD transfers are terrific!

Cliff, does Shout! have any plans to put "Eddie and the Cruisers" and/or its sequel "Eddie Lives" on Blu-Ray? I'd love to see them both remastered in 1080p HD, with John Cafferty's songs in DTS-HD-MA or better.
