Jriver doesn't do SACD but it does do DSD/DSX files and will bitstream these as well.

I've been so busy these last two weeks that I haven't gone into Foobar at all and trying to work it all out, but I really do want and need to.

I'm a vinyl guy through and through, but I have a good appreciation for digital and how it can sound with the right products. I can live with both formats very easily.

What I used to do to vinyl saddening. use to be a scratch DJ on base in the 80's and early 90's when I was off duty ($55 an hour wasn't bad though)! I did clean every album after use and had my own zerostat gun !

Hey John, I can help you out with Foobar when we come by if you don't get to it by then. I use it for the setup downstairs and think I can remember my way around it seeing hows its been about 3 months since I've been down there.

So you're coming then? Cool! Yeah that would be great. I'm useless when it comes to digital processing and stuff.

Would be glad to help. I've been spending as much time as possible learning myself. Slowly building up a modest computer setup on the main level instead. Grabbed a pair of Grado headphones on my way home tonight and they sound fantastic. Kaleigh can finally sleep

Well Doug, I need all the help I can get, so bring it on.

Grado makes wonderful headphones. Which ones did you get?

Those are nice cans indeed.

You still have my cell #? If so, text me so I can get your new one.

LOL! My first set of real headphones (an entry-level pair of Koss) did the same to me. How do they sound?

Fantastic. Not good at all the cliche terms but Im very impressed with the clarity. The bass is definitely more defined and not muddy like my other pairs. Looking forward to listening to them later tonight.

I will admit that the fit and finish to them are a bit lacking but I expected that after reading the reviews. The sound far out ways the looks and when there on my head I don't see them anyways.

Update..at the advice of Mojave, I tried out Audiolense, it's the missing piece!!!! I love it's measurement abilities and it integrates into JRiver...now all I need is eithermy son to come and get this Onkyo, or I'll wait till the end of the month to purchase Audiolense. It's no a cheap program, but I love what it does!

Update....using AudioTool, my trusty iMM-6 mic, REW, and the results of the 30 day trial version of Audiolense, I've come up with very satisfying filters....for free!!!!! Folks, that's going to save me almost $400 clams!!!!!! I also disconnected the DCX2496 and the FBQ2496 - J River is now handling all processing and bass management like a champ!!!!! I've been working on this for over 5 hrs folks!!!!! Now let's see if my power bill comes down any (I don't expect it to but heres hoping ).

I will more than likely put the Behringer stuff and a couple of D-RES EQ's up for sale.....CHEAP!!!!!
