Got some upgrades today.

I bought a 32gb Solid State HD from eBay new for $34. I had to update its fw but that was easy. I cloned the mini HD then swapped in the SSD. I also enabled trim with a free utility. The OS only uses 7GB.

I also got a new external hard drive using a Home Shopping Network credit I had from an unwanted Xmas gift. So I cloned the media drive to that and swapped.

I guess I'm done apart from adding music.

Someday I may get an external DAC to try to go to the next level.

Currently listening,...love it, love it.

Welcome to the computer audio fold - I'm sure you'll love it! Get bit perfect for your Mac or if you're really ready Channel D Pure Music!

It's working! Now I need album cover art work. Does it add that automatically if iTunes has it?

iTunes can often find album artwork.

Sometimes you need to go find the art if iTunes can't.

I use JRiver. I understand that Plex is compatible with MAC, Windows, and linux computers. Both have a 10 foot interface, JRiver s a mature product under Windows but still in Alpha version for Mac. What do you want do do with it?

Honestly I don't know. that was why I was asking, to see what it does. This is very new to me and trying to learn some before I invest anymore money.

On the music server end it's very similar to JRiver and Pure Music. I'm a Windows person myself and I use gizmo and JRiver to stream via DLNA to my phone, WD-Live, and other network enabled devices.

BitPerfect is now downloaded. I'm not sure but the lower res files seem to sound better. Maybe I just want them to.
