Didn't Wal-mart offer an exclusive, cheaper version of the Skyfall disc that was no-frills? I vaguely remember there being something like a $14.99 version available around the time of release that was only available at Wal-mart and seemed to be a striped-down Netflix rental type of disc. Perhaps that is what was shipped to you?

That said, the extras are on the disc... You just can't access them through a standalone player apparently. Weird. |

Not sure about Skyfall but I do remember seeing slip covers on some of those original Bond releases from 2008.

The first releases of Skyfall and Spectre had slipcovers. Walmart had exclusive gatefold slipcovers for the Spectre wave that got Steelbooks at Best Buy (Russia, Thunderball, YOLT, OHMSS, Diamonds are Forever, For Your Eyes Only, and the first three Craigs IIRC). I think that's it. |

With regard to the individual Blu-ray releases for the American market, the October 2008 release, the October 2012 release and the September 2015 release - they basically all use the same transfer and, thus, have the same image quality, right?
I have some of the Connery 2008-era Blu-ray releases and was thinking that there likely wasn't any point in buying the 2012 or 2015 releases, as I was thinking that they used the exact same transfer and were just released to cash in on the release of QOS, Skyfall and Spectre. |

Thanks. Now, a 4k question: Amazon Prime Video has 4k versions of many of the movies available for streaming. For those who have the Blu-ray versions of the movies and who have seen the 4k Amazon Prime Video streaming versions - Do the 4k Amazon streaming versions look significantly better than any of the available Blu-ray releases? I would assume that they have to.

Ive heard that some of the later on moore films later on in his career have better 4K masters on streaming than the BDs as well as GoldFinger being a newer 4K remaster as well as Thunderball being fixed supposedly. The only 4K stream I have watched so far was Goldeneye on Stan synched up to the BDs Audio with atrocious encoding but the master is fantastic compared to the DNRed and Crushed BD
