+1 forever. She captured my heart as well. That scene in the barn when she has that soft glow around her is so damn beautiful.

The November Man is fun, not only because it stars Pierce Brosnan, but also because it stars former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko. I won't go so far as to say that it's a great movie, but it's a solid Saturday afternoon guy movie sort of flick.

I rewatched the other three Craigs after watching Spectre and damn, Casino Royale is a superb film. Is it the best 'Bond film', emphasis on the Bond part? Probably not, but in terms of it simply being a film film it's a stunner.

QoS I still dig as this straight-up revenge actioner but it's a very disjointed film (I don't mean the action, I mean the story) and it pales next to CR.

Skyfall I've warmed to, I never really liked it before but it's a masterpiece next to Spectre and this time I really got into it. Dat Blu-ray is incredible, I may not care too much for how clean and 'digital' the photography looks but the encode itself is outstanding, those scenes near the end with all those horrendous gradations of soft light and shadow are handled impeccably.

Your list is pretty spot on with mine but I would take out Skyfall and Spectre and replace them with On Her Majesty's Secret Service and For Your Eyes Only.

Probably my top 5 as well, though maybe Goldeneye a little higher since it was the first one I saw and I have intense nostalgia for it.

I still say Ralph Fiennes of the 90's would have been a spectacular James Bond.

What a great call! I can definitely see that.

The thing is back in those days there was still a strange disconnect between what some might call "worthy" films and roles, and other popular fare that the masses flocked to. Actors such as Fiennes in the 90's probably thought stuff like Bond was beneath them. It was only when, you might argue, the HP series kicked off - and that calibre of actor coincidentally began to see the roles they were up for begin to dwindle - did the lines begin to blur, and we saw great classically trained performers start to appear in popular films on a regular basis.

Aside from the above, Fiennes would've been the perfect Bond!

Fiennes did tosh like The Avengers though, so I don't think he thought he was too worthy for Bond!

Ralph Fiennes played a Bond-ish role in the 90s as John Steed in the Avengers so I don't think this theory holds water.

Yeah, you're right. Dunno what I was thinking, lol. It's partially true... just a tad.

Me whilst watching Spectre:

Craig's Bond arc is nicely wrapped up. He's driven off into the sun...rise, ahem, and he's come full circle: he started off with a saucy French lass in CR and he's finished with another one in Spectre. He was great in CR and QoS (yep, no joke), but Skyfall was awkward and Spectre was, unbelievably, very dull. Not his fault BTW, just the way things have panned out.

How could they have made something so uninspiring with all they had at their disposal?

P.S. The writers missed such an obvious gag when Bond was nudging that little Fiat with his Aston Martin. I was willing Bond to say something like, "I was always a back-seat driver" or something along those lines. I mean, c'mon, that would've been rather amusing and quite fitting.

On EW.com, Archer reviews every James Bond movie. In the video, Archer just reviews a handful of the films. In the writeup, Archer reviews all of them. They are very short reviews but it's Archer. lol

I was watching 1965's Thunderball again, where Sean Bond ventures to the island and meets some Spectre agents and leaders, and lots of sharks.

The sharks in the film actually look like they were killed on set while filming, which with today's standards, would not be allowed just for the sake of filming a scene.

Overall though, an interesting movie and Connery definitely carries the film well with his acting.

I see currently, Tubi has a number of free to watch Bond movies, but with some commercials.

Yes, sadly I think they were killed for real. Probably legal where they shot the scenes, but a disagrace all the same. Thankfully it wouldn't happen now.
