Welcome, Fox Exec Nice to have you aboard.

First of all, cheers to you and your company for the quality of your releases, hope to see this trend continue.

My question...any hints concerning the release of the Sound of Music?

Again welcome. Thanks for choosing and sticking to Blu-ray. Has anyone at Fox done a study of AVC and VC1 to determine which is the better encoding format?

Welcome to the forums. As a Fox executive, I assume you are very busy and probably won't be as active as other insiders or members. So i will not bug you with a question, but I will also ask all those posting here not to go too crazy. Too many questions and this thread might have to be temporarily closed until he can reply.
Still, I want to thank Fox for sticking to Blu-ray through thick and thin. I think your loyalty will really pay off this year come the holiday season.

Oh, one more thing to add. Can Fox do what SPHE and Disney/Pixar did? Include a feature with which people can use to calibrate their displays. If possible, include those blue-filter glasses that's needed to calibrate properly. In fact, I think the BDA can issue these glasses collectively, with company logos on the sides and BD logo in the front and give 'em away for free with each player and selected titles.

Great to have a Fox rep here!

My question is this: How were sales of Prison Break, and were they high enough to warrant releases of the second season of the show on Blu-ray and give Fox faith that high def releases of, say, 24, Buffy, or the X-Files would sell well enough to warrant a release?

Are there any plans to lower prices on catalog titles? No other studio prices their catalog at $39.99 each.

Fox Executive,

I wanted to say that 20th Century Fox has always been my favorite film studio. My DVD collection holds far more Fox titles than any other movie studio followed by Paramount and Warner Brothers.

Anyway, I have several hopefully easy questions:

1. Will Independence Day on bluray have both cuts of the film?

2. Can we expect the Alien films to get a bluray release and will they have the same extras as the Quadrilogy set?

I can see that this thread is already filled with questions.

Thanks!

Fox Executive, can you tell us if we're likely to see The Abyss on the Blu-ray schedule for 2008?

Thanks.

Any hope that we can see a Digital Copy method implemented on the BD releases in the near future?

Welcome Fox Exec.

I assume you can't comment on the FUD regarding a switch away.

Also, I thought the insider threads weren't for "When is .....Coming to Blu?"

Seems a few aren't listening.

Anyways, welcome to the forums Fox Exec.

Hello. I have a number of the Fox Blu-Ray releases and they are generally excellent. However, one of the more frustrating aspects of HDM is the seemingly frequent delays of announced titles. To be charitable, Fox has not been immune to this problem. Is this just hiccups with a new format? Is it now a thing of the past? Or is is something that we might see continue?

Also, there have been rumors on the internet that BD50s are in short supply. Any concerns on that front?

And thanks for participating.
