Default Are Harmony remotes worth it?

As you can see from the equipment in my signature, I have quite a bit of electronics in my living room and obviously, it's crazy to have five separate remotes in order to control each one of them. So, I use a standard universal remote, but it has such limitations. I've heard that Harmony remotes are good and can do pretty much anything you want with almost any electronic out there.

I see this listed at Best Buy's website for $50:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/logitec...?skuId=5852832

Is it worth the $50 to invest in a remote like this? It will be great if I can buy a remote and can control all five of my devices with that one remote without any limitations.

i think they're very worth it.

i paid a little over $200 for mine at best buy (i think...it's been quite a few years and i know it was on sale at the time). the one i have is the harmony 1100...

the one you posted looks just like the one my neighbor has. he likes it very much since he only needs that one remote for all of his stuff (tv, avr, cd player, blu-ray player, satellite box).

mine can control the lights i used to have on the back of my tv. i had it set up to turn on my tv, my avr, and the led lights on low, when i wanted to watch a movie. i used to have the little, external control box for it to control my ps4. but the unit stopped working so i just use the controller that came with the ps4.

I have had many Harmony remotes and really loved all of them. The 665 seems to be a very solid remote. Depending on how much you watch cable tv, I would suggest considering the 950. Having the 950s touchscreen programmed with all your favorite channels makes watching and channel changing super easy. I know it is quite a bit more than the 665, but it is quite a bit nicer as well.

If the 950 is out of the question don’t hesitate on the 665. Being able to push just one button and then have multiple components turn on and switch to their correct inputs is wonderful.

I'm on my third Harmony remote. I love them. I suggest you go to their web site and look at all of their remotes and pick out the one that's right for you. They can control a different number of devices and offer a differenr number of activities. Pick out the one That's best suited to you.

In addition to using one remote, the activities buttons are the big difference. I press Watch A Blu-Ray and it turns on everything I need. It's great.
