Hi, Welcome

You can try to change your EU firmware with an US.
It´s working with Blu-ray´s.

Maybe also with DVD´s then...

Hi dave,

Yes most blu-rays will play in the uk from America and around the world apart from DISNEY and FOX releases which seem to be always region coded! Although there are some Disney Blu-rays that are not coded for some reason like CARS from pixar.

Hope this helps

David

Amazon UK is selling US Imports, none of which I've bought because of the region coding, which I thought unless you messed around with your player somehow, it wouldn't play. Saying that, I've just installed the version 3.50 firmware update on my Sony BDP-S500, from the Sony e-support US website. Still playing UK BDs no problems, despite the fact it said the firmware was for US players only!
