There is a way of removing them within this site, but don't remember how. You have to play around with your settings.

At top right side of page below crescent moon you'll see My Blu-ray.com. Place mouse arrow on it. A page will drop beneath. Go down to the bottom under Settings and select Site Preferences. A large page will appear. Scroll down to Third Party Site and unselect Display Advertising. This will get rid of the ads.

I know if I'm on here and not signed in it's ads glore to the point I can't even look at anything. But thank goodness I'm always signed in on my phone so I don't have to mess with the ads.

Did you hit the Update Settings button at the bottom after you unchecked it?

You may need to install an ad blocker. Adblock Plus is a good one, but it's not 100% ad free (actually none of them are, even the ones that you pay for), but it blocks the majority of the ads. There are some free ones that you can install, but check to make sure they're legit and doesn't contain malware, spyware etc that can cause harmful compromises to your device.

Go to your Site preferences and turn off the ads.

This should lead to the place
https://www.blu-ray.com/community/settings.php

then go down to

Third party sites
Display advertising

and uncheck it. The scroll to the bottom and click update settings.

I am glad I read this thread as the ads are quite intense. One of them even made it harder to sign up as it covered up the box to check saying you read the rules.
