It is however a re-listed title so if you’ve already purchased then seems you’re out of luck as the previous listing is still in the store but HD.

Talking of re-listed titles Superman 3 has also been re-listed.

Oh and talking of Superman, The Quest For Peace is also showing Atmos under its Primary language.

Can't confirm whether this accurate on playback (as don't own either title) but might be worth investigating for those that do.
Doesn't play back in Atmos yet. Just checked.

If you haven't purchased the first film on digital yet, iTunes will likely run a combo. package with the second film day of release. The difference in prices between both will usually be $5-$10 so I would def. wait until release day if that is the case.

Not sure if we're now posting expected 4K upgrades in this thread or the other, but...

May 30: Thelma & Louise

I’ve got the collectors edition version via iTunes which has the three different versions of the film.
What I’m wondering is will this version get the 4K treatment or just the theatrical standalone version.
Or could they just have the 4K version as a completely new release considering the ending was slightly edited for the more recent theatrical run re-release.

In the U.S., Criterion is releasing this title on 4K Blu-ray on May 30th, but MGM has the digital rights, so unless you are talking about a different country, or know something I don't know, I wouldn't hold my breath for MGM to upgrade this title at the same time.

Not sure tbh.
I would think they'll bundle the collectors extended edition with it but can't say for certain.
I've read rumors recently of a 9+ hour edition of the third film too being cut for Disney+ for episodic release at some stage, just to muddy the waters some more.

yeah if it went digital 4k first like Silence of the Lambs or Great Escape then some MGM criterions do go 4k. I don't think Wargames has gone 4k yet since the disc is Shout

Oh I’m no particular fan of it. It’s just good to see parity with other regions. I see it as encouraging we’ll get more and more of these upgrades for titles that have been missed in the U.K. when other countries have got them.

….and yes, T1 - that’ll be a day.
