I just scanned the cover art working up front and back cover images for use with DVD Profiler. Thought I'd share the love. Enjoy!

And full disclosure, I've since removed some of the smallest of the embers from the front cover image above. After sizing the image down the embers in question looked more like noise than actual embers only serving to detract from the image so.

Here are the language options presented for which version of the Blu-ray menus you'd like to use, so clearly Region Free.



I checked the M2TS files on the disc for good measure as well, none of which are splash screens stating the Region Code of the given Blu-ray player isn't supported. There's a couple splash screens which display disclaimers as well. Those cover even more languages than the above so.

I just finished cataloging this release in DVD Profiler and My Movies. Thought I'd share the end result.

So I can finally retire my DVD of this. Was really starting to wonder if this title would ever see the light of day on Blu-ray. Based on the job Paramount has done here it appears to have been worth the wait. Nice job, Paramount!

I wonder what the encode mbps is? The caps look good enough to buy but rather weak on film grain.....

A quick FYI for everyone regarding the subtitles. A commentary subtitle track is included. All subtitles are also fully shown within the 2.39:1 presentation. This is most excellent news for those who will be projecting this on a scope screen or 16:9 screen which will be physically masked down to the 2.39:1 image area. My setup fits the second scenario. In the event subtitles fall into the black bar areas I re-author the given Blu-ray repositioning the subtitles accordingly.
