Has anyone been able to confirm if the U.C. ZETA GUNDAM sets about to release in Japan have English subs?

That’s because it’s a pre-order. On release date it will open for non-Japanese customers to order.

I pre-ordered the last two on amazon.co.jp, but maybe they have changed it. It has almost been two years since my last order.

EDIT: Guess its been closer to 1 year, checked my order on the second movie and it was made on June 1, shipped on August 21.

Funimation's simulcast subtitles have been rather inconsistent so far about whether or not songs are translated, so while I hope these subs are complete, I'm wary that they might be exactly the same.

How is the video transfer? Does it have the same heavy DNR usage as the Rightstuf set or is the grain still present similar to Bandai's final release on DVD?

These two don't seem to have been mentioned yet. Only the 3-disc versions are in the database. I don't seem to have privileges yet to add/edit entries in the DB. :/

I have the 1-disc editions if anyone needs any info for those that can't be found online.

For what it's worth, Reflection's English Blu-ray subs are bad and, from what I heard, Detonation's are atrocious.

Wasn't sure where to ask, but how's Amazon Japan's packaging nowadays? Do you still have to use the magazine trick to get them to shrinkwrap stuff to the bottom of the box?

I have to get it forwarded anyway but the forwarder I use keeps the original packaging intact. I guess I'll do the magazine trick to play it safe. It's gotta be a magazine too, right?

New Type, Shonen Jump, whatever... they usually have good info in them as well.

There's Animedia (アニメディア), Animage (アニメージュ), and Newtype (ニュータイプ) for some of the biggest. If you like getting pinup posters of cute anime girls, there's always Megami Magazine (メガミマガジン).

I already buy Animedia, Megami Magazine, and Newtype on a monthly basis though regardless of if I'm getting Blu-rays or not (I've not imported many from Amazon Japan). Megami Magazine I've been importing monthly for over 7 years now. I also get Dengeki Moeoh (電撃萌王) when it's put out every other month.
