I am sure the synth attack on Mars was orchestrated by the Zhat Vash (thought it was the Tal Shiar back before the 2nd episode was released) as the androids appeared to receive a transmission just before they turned on everyone and launched the attack plus Raffi said she had proof it was the Romulans. |

I agree that Voyager did a lot of damage, but also agree that the Borg, if all effort was focused, billions of drones would work to rebuild the collective around the clock in a matter of months. There is no possible way to defeat the Borg. Slow them down, yes, but wipe them out of the galaxy..not possible. All it takes is a group of Borg drones to survive and the whole process starts up again. |

The Borg can’t be wiped out because the writers will always find ways to bring them back one way or another. Much like the Daleks or the Cybermen.
As weak as I thought Voyager was, I have to give them credit for Unity, one of my favourite Borg episodes. . Last edited by Josep5349; 02-17-2020 at 08:33 PM. |

I think the Borg have veered away from further excursions and expansions into the Alpha and Beta quadrants and are likely focused on pillaging the Delta quadrant and are probably in full war with The Dominion, about which nothing has been said since the ending of DS9. As the Jem'Hadar are obvious cannon fodder and not privy to decision making information or offer any technical distinction, the Borg would simply exterminate them (and they would try to do the same with kamikaze attacks) and not bother with assimilation, while focusing their acquisition efforts on the Vorta officials and many races of the Dominion that would provide fresh meat for their expansion, as well as the other GQ races and organized entities that the Dominion had yet to meet/defeat and conquer.
Nothing has really been said about Borg energy production and storage, so there's no information about what powers their ships beyond "many redundant power nodes" that provide a ship and all drones with energy. Only a small number of nodes are active during regular operations, while more are used in times of stress or excessive energy consumption such as ship-wide regeneration or combat. |

I love how much episode 5 leaned into the BUCK ROGERS aesthetic.

He found a mysterious glowing rock that crashed near his tribe and slept next to it for warmth. When he awoke he ended up no longer aging like everyone else.

The Borg know. The Dominion could easily rebuild it's forces. Their space wasn't devastated by war so they could easily have over a million ships and is probably the most deadliest empire in the entire galaxy, second to the Borg. A Dominion-Borg War would last for years with Borg ultimately winning. Yes I know there is a lore reloaded video that talks about this.

I thought Elnor was very elvish in looks with the hair and Romulan ears.
His fighting skills with a blade were also elvish. https://lotr.fandom.com/wiki/Elrond I do really like the series so far. Obviously, thematically it has a huge appeal to me and there are lots of winks to the fans. I also the Asimov reference in the second episode. Theme music is great and overall production values are top notch. Sorry about the typo in the title- autocorrect error Last edited by bladerunner6; 02-20-2020 at 05:07 PM. |

This is just purely literal in that Icheb and 7 of 9 were both from the Delta Quadrant and had been Borg for decades before being separated from the collective. I imagine Borg who were assimilated in the Alpha Quadrant have fewer harvestable parts because they were made and lived on cubes with limited resources vs Borg that lived in huge clusters spanning many worlds. And they’re newer in that they’re from around the Wolf 359 time period.

This series hasn't turned out like anything I had expected. I was hoping for something that dug a little deeper into the man who is Jean Luc Picard.
At this point, I'm quite underwhelmed by the premise of "Picard." It all seems so inconsequential. |
