Anybody whos interested I suggest looking up his life story. How he cheated dearh in his youth to becoming such an inspiration later in life. A good man and I'm truly thankful for his work.

Japan R.I.P. Leiji Matsumoto!

Wow, yet another tragic loss.
Leiji Matsumoto was a true master of the craft.
Both a pioneer and a complete visionary in every sense of the terms.
From his unique and now iconic visual art-style, to his particular brand of storytelling and subject matter, Mr. Matsumoto has definitely made a tremendous impact and significantly influenced so many fellow artists all over the world.

Hell, even us Punks loved his $#it...

Personally speaking: Space Battleship Yamato, Galaxy Express 999, & Space Pirate Captain Harlock are still among my most favorite works within the entire realm of anime and manga.

Leiji Matsumoto's imagination and creative body of work will unquestionably continue to entertain and inspire many generations still to come and that I believe may prove to be his greatest legacy.

R.I.P. to a real legend... and thank you for sharing your talents with all of us!

That's cool. I do want to see Shudder stream some Discotek titles like Genocyber, Devilman, Wicked City, etc.

Watched To Be Hero/Heroine the other day and I thought it was incredible! It wasn't on my radar at first but I'm glad I took that chance. The potty humor was right up my alley, but the stories are what really blew me, especially when things come around full circle in the climax.

Heroine was slightly less interesting than Hero, but both rocked my world. I only wish it had the original Chinese versions, though.

The Astroganger: The Complete Series SD-BD has joined the ranks of TRSI’s “Last Chance Items” section.

My guess as far as RX goes is that we will see it in the Summer. Like June or July. Although I hope it’s May and they either announce Black Sun, or Amazon Riders, or Amazon as a physical release next

Just as extra clarification in case I've missed an announcement, would anybody know if the Star Fleet/X Bomber SD Blu has gone out of print now as well please? Cannot seem to find it in stock anywhere.

Didn't this go OOP in September? Did it come back in stock?

Nothing official from what I can tell. Rightstuf would be the first place to look for re-stocks.

Bummer that 8 man after is unavailable. I didn't even know it existed, and I swear I've never seen it on RS before, and I would've gladly bought it.

According to Discotek’s website, Astroganger was listed as OOP, but Right Stuf had it marked as “Out of Stock, Expecting More”. My guess is they were able to allocate a final batch that is now officially OOP (at least through TRSI.)

Just made me check my emails and large thread on another forum. Looks like despite thinking I did. I for some reason never got the Discotek release of it. Unless it got bought and I never posted I got it.

There are cheap used copies of the non-discotek DVD, so it may be worth checking those out

Placed in order for the remaining Lupin BDs I was backed up on. Now I’m all up to date with releases & can look forward to the next ones. Gotta catch up with buying City Hunter next.

Assuming it matters, that one is English dub only, unlike the Discotek one.
