Well, if you think about some of the moves they have made lately, it appears they are confirming to all of us that they do not have the right people at the top making the right decisions.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. It was a pretty slide.

They only wish they could release those movies. It's sad watching thier sinking ship. I hope everyone figures out by Jan that HD DUD aint gonna survive the coming year.

Is it possible to buy stock in HD DVD publicly apologizing to Spielberg ? It looks like a real money-maker.

I agree it would be one of the few that is just to Amazing not to rebuy - Back to the Future and Goonies definately would be at the top of my list.

Spielberg didn't direct Back to the Future... he was a producer, but he didn't direct it.

I figured as much. I'm surprised it took this long for the Spielberg camp to react.

Has this news hit AVS yet? I'm sure there will be some slitting of wrists when it does.

How do I love spielberg..... not only because his movies are of quality, but a big supporter of BD. The only ticket for universal to get his movies in hi-def is to support Blu-ray

lol. thanks spielberg, for humiliating such a bloody format.

Everyone can thank Spielberg by buying Close Encounters of the Third Kind when it's released on Blu-ray, November 13th. Plus you'll get a nice movie to boot.
