What Do You Hope Gets Fixed With Series X - Blu-ray Forum

Just trying to start a discussion, but aside from the obvious major features that have already been covered, what "lesser" things are you hoping gets fixed up in this next generation?

For me, I'm hoping they finally fix the downloads. Sometimes they drop/stop constantly over the course of a download (the download speed disappears off and on, sometimes constantly), making them take far longer than they really should. It's not my internet or an isolated issue either, as I've read that people have had this issue for several years.

I would like to see them fix some relationships. Square Enix has exclusives for Switch and PS5 but not XS, other Japanse devs like Nippon Ichi and Marvelous make games for Switch and PS but not Xbox, Sega owns Atlus but none of those games seem to make it to Xbox, Gearbox is making Godfall for PS5 and not XS. Epic even seems to have a much stronger relationship with Sony now than MS, although their Xbox exclusive GoW was much more successful than their PS exclusive Paragon.

Oh btw, all of the third-party PS5 games are coming to Windows, but they can't make an Xbox version? I'm sure some of it is contractual and some of it is risk-based (since Xbox One has a smaller userbase than the other platforms), but it would be nice if MS could make nice and convince these companies to make Xbox versions or perhaps even an exclusive or two. If not, maybe MS could add their old platform exclusives to BC like JSRF, Otogi, DOA, everything from Cave...I should stop since we already have flourishing BC threads.

It's not the end of the world for me because I'm multi-platform, but in general I prefer the feel of the Xbox controllers over the DS so I gravitate towards the Xbox versions of multiplat games (unless there is VR support, then I'm throwing money at the PS store).

My concern was the usual: lack of 1st party exclusives. I think it's safe to say that they have addressed that quite well. Now we just have to wait for those games to get here. I think this generation may be the mirror opposite of the PS3/360 gen. I can see Sony get out to a big lead in the first couple years but M$ catching up when all those game studios start churning out their games.
