GTA V Coming to XSX 2021

Even more content is reportedly in store for GTA Online when it’s launched on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Both next-gen consoles are getting standalone versions of GTA Online as well as Grand Theft Auto 5 in 2021. As Gamespot reports, Rockstar parent company Take Two has even more plans for the game, revealing during an earnings call that the next-gen and PC releases of GTA Online will be getting exclusive new content. It didn’t announce what that content might be, but it will be in addition to the performance and visual enhancements already known to be coming to both GTA Online and GTA 5. °°°°

Does that mean separate versions of GTA Online and GTA V (two individual releases) or am I reading it wrong?

I'm reading it that way as well might be a typo, I've read there will be a separate standalone of GTA online.

Why would they bother to make a new GTA game?

It’s in the top ten games sold list every single week for the last 7 years. On top of that, Take-Two makes $millions$ of cash money from MTX every single hour of every single day.

Should just turn the online in to it’s own separate f2p franchise at this point. Have a dedicated team for that and free up a team to focus on single player.

Trouble is what’s a new GTA game without online? I’m guessing people are only buying this for the online, how well would it sell if online was removed?

Yeah I know... just from a fan standpoint I want a new game already.

With them dropping the single player DLC in favor of more Online stuff, and the horrid grind in that, I only fear what they'll do for GTAVI.

I kind of wish there was a decent competitor to GTA. Saints Row kind of was, but they've been almost as stagnate as GTA (with 4 using mostly the same map as 3, if I recall correctly) and its online component was minimal.
