Heck, it's better than calling it Blueray (which is how the president of my company spells it).

Maybe it's the hyphen that is confusing the customers and not the format war f

I type it BluRay because it saves me one key stroke....call me lazy.

Same number of key strokes if you count the shift key.

Mostly worked out now. Certainly for my orders.

By the way, the site was "equal opportunity" during this period; both Blu-ray and HD-DVD were affected (as presumably was DVD also).
Geez I wouldn't want to be the system engineer and project manager who worked on that implementation.

Yeah, I have 15 on order through the WB site that aren't pre-order and the only one I have received is Superman II. S.........L.........O..........W!!!
I couldn't pass up that 25% off. I'll be at Best Buy Sunday for the B1G1 sale too, not to mention the buy-a-thon this coming Tuesday where I plan to buy 5 or 6 more at Amazon. Sweet!!

Whatever is going on with Warner's distribution problems has affected the Nielsen weekly sales ratio. It's the only explanation I can see why "We Are Marshal" HD-DVD outsold the BD release week, when every other dual format release the BD has dominated(the only real exception is Planet Earth and even that has become a better weekly seller on BD). Of course once the BD became widely available it naturally came back to beating the HD-DVD soundly in its second week of release.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that one. Hopefully this distribution and/or replication problem(s) from both Fox and Warner get straightened around soon.

I was off 3% this week with my guesstimate and I blame that squarely on the lack of availability of Fantastic Four 2 and The Day After Tomorrow on retail shelves (or, it could just be my incompetence).

And, don't even get me started on Fox's lack of advertising for their Blu-ray discs. I'm only letting it slide because this is their first month back from their 6-month hiatus. It's obvious that during that "vacation" from hi-def they weren't sitting on their hands, but were working diligently to make an even better product than they had put out before. I commend them for that. But, now they really need to get behind Blu-ray with some ads!

That way I don't have to read things like this: "Have you seen the new Fantastic Four commercial? They don't even mention the Blu-ray version! This is a sign that they may be going HD-DVD exclusive!"

ARRRRGH!!!

As of now, my order for The Reaping is still showing in "Items not yet shipped" and my The Invisible and Return to House on Haunted Hill are showing "Items shipping soon". So looks like at least The Reaping will be delayed. My Twilight Zone, which I preordered finally shipped Friday night, but of course it really hasn't gone anywhere yet since UPS doesn't pick up that late and doesn't do Saturday pick up.
