PS3 sales rises 178% in the first week of 40GB PS3 introduction in UK. That will be the early indication for its future sales elsewhere. It is a good number but no surprises.

Well the less sales that greedy twat MS gets the more PS3 & Blu Ray gets better, yeeeehhhaaaaa.

im still waiting for ps3 to outsell 360. it will be a great day for me.

Now if only they had this price/model at launch. Imagine all the lost sales since then. I know lots of people who wanted ps3 but ended up getting xbox 360 due to price. Well better late then never. Cant wait to see this reflect in blu-ray sales.

I'm sure that more than a couple will be tempted to jump ship after waiting the third time to get their 360 back from the repair shop.

but...but according to Toshiba the PS3 doesn't count as a Blu Ray player so it's all good to them.
