Default Interesting thread on bitrates . . .

I have learned from this thread on AVS http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...php?p=11903469 that the disparity in the max bitrates between blu-ray and hd dvd has little to no impact on PQ/AQ. <cough> <cough>

Apparently it only affects multiple languages on a disc and seamless branching. Ha ha.

I read another article on AVS a little while back that said that the difference between Dolby Digital Plus at 1.5 MBs/SEC, and loseless audio codecs like TrueHD, DTS MA, and uncompressed PCM is negligable as well....

You gotta defend what you have, and spread FUD about what you don't right?

Hope they enjoy Transformers and Shrek with their "comparable" DD+ at its robust 1.5 megs per second...

yes it dose make a diffrence partyicularin the audio department, ande in action sense the rest its not so much of an issue but like said in the thread its the peake moment in a movie wich counts that when you will start seeing articifalcs (cant spell it sorry guys) and plus since the blu-ray spec makes all drives run at 1.5x speed it means the the lowest possiably speed is just that much better.
